We are the first USPA Certified powerlifting training and competition facility.
This Gym was started by four guys of similar mind regarding lifting and who met at a gym while training. Training is our passion and we have competed in Powerlifting, Bodybuilding, Scottish games and strength contests.
We became sick and tired of the rules and requirements of the commercial health clubs. We hated the contracts, the type of music, and the fact that no gym in the area had a dead-lift platform. Other members complained when we made noise or used chalk. We heard a lot of talk from other lifters who complained that they missed the old gym days of no rules or contracts. WELL, INSTEAD OF JUST TALKING, WE DID SOMETHING ABOUT IT. WE OPENED “OSI OLD SKOOL IRON by Iron Rose”, A SERIOUS PLACE TO LIFT AND TRAIN HARD!
Thus, we opened August 15th 2011, and we moved forward with our dream. Our gym is your gym.
This gym has everything a person needs including six dead-lift platforms, three ER Combo racks, four power racks (full and half rack), deadlift bars, squat bars, smith machine, competition Forza bench, full rack of dumbbells up to 160 lbs. (going even heavier in the near future), adjustable moveable benches etc. We continually add equipment and lifting devices of which you will not see in the other gyms and which are mostly acquired as a result of suggested input by our members.
Unlike the corporate commercial gyms who turn a deaf ear to suggestions and complaints, we listen to our members and make the adjustments and additions. Our hopes are to outgrow our current location and move to a bigger facility.
Come by and check it out. If it’s not for you we understand, but hey, at least you have the option of training at a real gym or staying where you are and wondering why you don’t make gains.
